Just a wee bit of COLOR!

FINALLY.... it hit 65 today in Minnesota.  It snowed on Monday (I got about 4 inches of snow) and by Friday it is 65 and sunny.  Gotta love this state.

Anyways, in celebration of the sun I painted my nails hot pink and made this card.  I have really been enjoying the ombre effect that I see everywhere, so I have used it a lot in my projects.

In this card I used 2 shades of pink/purple craft paint.  I blended them to create a 3rd shade.  Using a sponge, I applied the colors to a 4 x 5.25 card front.  After it dried, I used a Fiskars stamp to stamp the flowers with StazOn ink.  I finished the card off with a sentiment embossed with Zing white embossing powder, ribbon and black pearls in some of the flowers.  I adhered the card front to a black of a 4 x 5.5 card.

I am entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Vintage challenge of using color.

Thanks for dropping by!  Have a good weekend.

  1. Gorgeous card and beautiful blending Theresa! Minnesota sounds like the UK at the moment. It was hailstones in the morning and sitting in the garden enjoying the sun in the afternoon!
